- In NetSuite, sales tax liabilities can be calculated and tracked. The tax is automatically determined by using the customer's shipping address, or billing address if no shipping address is provided, to associate the proper tax group or tax item for a given transaction. The tax functionality also provides for the ease of payment to the appropriate tax authorities. As part of the setup, rates can be pulled into the application. These rates are then the responsibility of the customer to update on an ongoing basis.
