- Inventory Management for Manufacturing refers to a subset of WMS features that are directly associated with manufacturing activities. These include: ¥ Bin Transfer - to/from the shop floor for consumption ¥ Material Issuance ¥ Finished Good Put-Away In addition, the following inventory transactions may be completed by manufacturing personnel and have therefore been exposed under this category: ¥ Purchase Order Receipt o A single bin per location that receives all completed assembly items, or o Individual work center bins that facilitate immediate availability of sub-assemblies for consumption in the parent Work Order. Sales Order Picking Advanced Manufacturing provides real-time integrated barcode scanning functionality to support basic warehouse management functionality as well as advanced manufacturing execution transactions for NetSuite. As outlined in this sections' description of inventory management for manufacturing, the Advanced Manufacturing mobile application does not support advanced WMS functionality. The mobile application specifically provides the following: ¥ PO Receipt and Put-away o by individual item on the PO using ad-hoc (non-directed) picking o automatic assignment of the receiving bin o support for single NetSuite transaction across multiple picks ¥ Item inquiry o list of current bins containing an item ¥ Inventory transfers o bin-to-bin for same location o bin-to-bin for different locations ¥ Material Issuance o assignment of items to a Work Order ¥ Basic Pick & Pack o by individual item on the SO using ad-hoc (non-directed) picking o support for single NetSuite transaction across multiple picks All of the inventory operations listed above are available for uncontrolled, lot-controlled and serialized items. For large receipts and shipments, it recommended that the receiving dock operator perform the transaction using NetSuite standard features and forms.
