Work Order creation is a standard NetSuite capability that will be reviewed during the standard NetSuite user training. &nbsp;Certain aspects of the process are controlled by settings on the Assembly Item record. Most notably with respect to the requirements:<BR><br><ul><li>Work Orders may be created directly from Sales Orders that reference an Assembly Item.</li><li>Manufacturing Routings can be created for multiple locations to facilitate the creation of Work Orders to be executed at other sites.</li><li>Subassemblies may be marked as "Special Order Items" which will cause the automatic generation of Work Orders.</li></ul><br>Work Orders must be created and maintained in a "Planned" (or lower) state to avoid premature scheduling. &nbsp;Work Order Management and Release will be formalized to ensure a consistent approach to Work Orders scheduling and transfer to the floor.<br><br>In addition, all Work Orders must have "Manufacturing WIP" enabled and an associated Manufacturing Routing assigned at the time they are created.<br><br>Once the Planner is satisfied with the sequence of the Production Schedule and utilization of available capacity, Work Orders are selected to be 'released' to the shop floor for execution. Release of a Work Order enables manufacturing related activities to take place including: finite scheduling, shop floor document creation and data collection.&nbsp;
