- The OpenID Single Sign-on feature supports inbound single sign-on to NetSuite from Google Apps, using Google OpenID authentication. This feature allows users who have logged in to Google Apps to go directly to NetSuite. Users do not need to log in separately to NetSuite, because their Google identity is used to access their NetSuite data. NetSuite account administrators can control OpenID access through NetSuite's role-based permissions. The following steps are required to implement Google OpenID access to a NetSuite account: <BR>1. Your organization must have a registered domain on Google Apps. OpenID access to NetSuite is available from a Google Apps domain only, NOT from a @gmail.com account. Domain registration is available at http://www.google.com/enterprise/apps/business/ <BR> 2. An account administrator must complete the following configuration tasks in NetSuite <BR><ul><li>Enable the OpenID Single Sign-on feature. </li><li>Record the Google Apps domain name in NetSuite. </li><li>Assign the OpenID Single Sign-on permission to users who need direct access from Google Apps to NetSuite. </li></ul> 3. Users must add a NetSuite gadget to their Gmail sidebar. The first time users connect to NetSuite from Google Apps, they are required to enter their NetSuite user name and password, to create a mapping between their Google identity and NetSuite identity.
