- There may be specific web order requirements based on the profile of the customer in which you are selling to via the Web Store. All orders originating from the web store come across into ERP as non-posting transactions called Sales Orders. Processing Sales Orders will need to be determined from among the following options: Sales Order - Cash Sale The Sales Order - Cash Sale in the web store allows for authorizing the credit card when creating the order and charging the card when ready to bill after fulfillment. NetSuite allows for credit card processing to be integrated in this way, with a NetSuite-compatible merchant services provider depositing funds directly to your bank account and the corresponding NetSuite records updating in real-time. Via the web store checkout page, Credit Card details are collected and securely transmitted for payment authorization by the card-issuing bank, which is what causes funds to be held for subsequent billing and capture/settlement of payment. Sales Order - Invoice For web orders that run through an Accounts Receivable (A/R) process, the Sales Order - Invoice captures the order details from the store checkout, but does not gather order settlement information. Customers can settle open invoices with the company directly or via the Customer Center. Per Customer Basis Per Customer Basis is a hybrid solution that affords the customer the option to provide settlement details at the time of the order or to be billed for the goods at a later date. These orders translate into either Sales Order - Cash Sale or Sales Order - Invoice forms, based on the choice of the customer.
